Vision
At The Academy of Higher Learning, we aspire, along with our Godly teachers, to prepare students for the life ahead — spiritually, academically, and personally. We are committed to helping each student recognize the career path that aligns with their God-given talents and calling. Instilling a moral fiber and cultivating a love and respect for God and people.
Mission Statement
We desire that every student will leave here with a strong and abiding love for Jesus Christ — a love that extends to the world they are called to impact. Whether they pursue college, trade school, raising a family, the mission field, military service, or any other path. Our prayer is that they will carry their faith boldly and shine the light of Christ wherever God leads them
Admission Policies
The Academy of Higher Learning welcomes applications from families seeking a Christian education for their children. We admit students of any race, color, national, or ethnic origin. However, we expect all families to understand and support the school’s Christian mission and values. Admission requires an interview and approval process. We especially encourage families to be actively committed to a Bible-believing Christian church and who seek to partner with us in nurturing their child’s faith and academic growth.
Statement of Faith
We affirm and uphold the *statement of faith of our church.
*See statement of faith on website, under About us- What we believe.
Calendar
School Calendar & Schedule
Our school follows the local government schools calendar, with one exception: we begin classes two days after Labor Day.
We operate on a hybrid schedule:
-
Monday through Thursday: In-person classes from 8:25 AM to 2:30 PM
-
Friday: Remote work-from-home day for all students
Academic Program
The Academy of Higher Learning utilizes the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum for students enrolled in the traditional academic program. ACE is a self-instructional, mastery-based curriculum designed to foster independent learning, personal responsibility, and goal setting. Course materials are structured into twelve booklets per subject, known as PACEs. Academic advancement is based on each student's mastery of the content—students progress at their own pace and are not held back or pushed forward based on the progress of their peers. Completion of all twelve PACEs in a subject is required before moving on to the next level. All students work in a shared Learning Center, where they are supported in their independent study. In addition to the core ACE curriculum, the Academy also offers traditional classroom instruction for select electives, including Bible, Spanish, and Music.
Student Life
Students at The Academy of Higher Learning begin each day with a morning message from our Pastor or a designee, along with the daily reciting of the pledges to the American and Christian flags. We also conduct a weekly group prayer. In addition to Bible classes, students are actively involved in community service projects and mission opportunities that reinforce their faith, strengthen their character, and encourage a heart of service.
Spiritual Goals
At The Academy of Higher Learning, we are committed to the spiritual growth of every student. Our desire is that students would not only learn about Jesus Christ but would also demonstrate His love, character, and truth in their daily lives. We seek to cultivate a faith that is active — shown in the classroom, nurtured at home, and boldly lived out in the world beyond our walls. Our goal is for each student to leave The Academy equipped to live a life that reflects Jesus wherever they are called.
Core Values
● Christ-Centered Education: Integrating biblical truth in all areas of study.
● Academic Excellence: We work to the best of our abilities and challenge students to do the same, encouraging diligence, curiosity, and mastery.
● Spiritual Growth: We seek to help every student grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, Scripture, and daily encouragement.
● Character Formation: Integrity, humility, respect, responsibility, honesty, and perseverance are woven into the fabric of daily life and learning.
● Partnership with Families: We value strong partnerships with parents and guardians who share our Christian values and are active participants in their child’s faith journey.
● Continuous Improvement: Through professional and spiritual development, we aim to grow as educators and followers of Christ.
Parental Partnership
Parental participation in your child's education—and your support of the school—plays a vital role in helping each student reach their highest potential.
We are sincerely grateful to the parents who recognize the value of a strong educational foundation and who are making sacrifices to provide this opportunity for their child. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.
By working together in partnership, we can create a win-win environment that fosters academic growth, character development, and lifelong success.
